Regulation of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act

Okay little one, so you know how we have air all around us that we breathe in to stay alive? The air has different things in it, like oxygen that we need to live, but it can also have bad things like pollution that can make us sick.

Greenhouse gases are like pollution that come from things like cars, factories, and even cows! These gases are harmful to the environment because they can trap heat in the air and make the Earth warmer.

The Clean Air Act is a set of rules that helps to keep our air clean and healthy to breathe. One of the things that the Clean Air Act does is regulate how much greenhouse gases can be released into the air by companies and people.

This means that companies and people who produce a lot of greenhouse gases have to find ways to reduce how much they release, like using cleaner energy sources or improving the way they make things.

The government makes sure these rules are being followed and can give fines to companies or people who break them.

So basically, the Clean Air Act helps make sure that we have clean air to breathe and that the environment stays healthy by regulating the amount of greenhouse gases that are released into the air!
