ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Relational database

A relational database is like a giant filing cabinet. It stores data in tables that are organized in different sections and labeled. The sections are called "tables," and each table will have different "columns" or sections which are labeled. Inside each column are "rows" which are like little drawers. Each row stores one piece of information like someone's first name, last name, age, etc. It's like a cross between a library and an office filing cabinet. It helps us find information quickly and easily.
