Relative key

Hey kiddo, do you know what a key is in music? It's like a secret code that tells musicians which notes to play to make a song sound good.

Now, there's something called a relative key. Think of it like a family, where two keys are related to each other like brothers or sisters. One key is the big brother or sister, and the other one is the little brother or sister.

In music, the big brother or sister key is called the major key, and the little one is called the minor key. They have the same key signature, or the note that they start and end with, but they sound different because the notes in the key are different.

For example, let's say the big brother key is C major, which is happy and bright. The little sister key would be A minor, which is sadder and more melancholic. They have the same notes, but they are arranged differently in each key, so they sound different.

Musicians like to use relative keys because they provide a different mood or feeling to a song, even though they have the same notes. It's like having two different paint colors, but they come from the same tube. Cool, huh?
