Religious views on suicide

Religious people believe that life is precious and should be protected, and that it is not up to humans to decide when it should end. Many religions teach that God has a plan for each person's life and that suicide disrupts this plan. Additionally, committing suicide is often seen as a sin or breaking one of the commandments in many religions, such as "thou shalt not kill" in Christianity. Ultimately, the vast majority of religions view suicide as a serious issue and urge those struggling with thoughts of suicide to seek help and support.
