Remorse (Baader painting)

Remorse is a big word that means feeling really bad for something you did wrong. Imagine if you accidentally broke your friend's toy, and you felt really bad about it. That feeling in your tummy that makes you want to say sorry is called remorse.

Now, there's a painting called Baader-Meinhof complex that shows a man sitting in a dark room with his head in his hands. He looks really upset and sad because he's feeling remorse.

The man in the painting did something bad, and now he's thinking about it and feeling really guilty. The artist painted him like this to show how people can feel really bad when they do something wrong.

So, whenever you do something that you know is wrong and you start to feel bad about it, that feeling you get is called remorse. And it's important to say you're sorry and learn from your mistakes so you don't feel that way again.
