ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Remote racking system

Okay, so imagine that you have a toy car, but you need to change its batteries. Normally, you would have to take the whole car apart to get to the batteries so you could change them.

Now, imagine that the toy car is actually a really big machine that is used to do important things like make electricity or control other machines. And imagine that the batteries are big, heavy things that are really hard to get to because they are way up high or behind a wall.

That's where a remote racking system comes in. It's like a special robot that can reach up high or go behind a wall and take out the big heavy batteries so they can be changed safely. The robot is controlled by a person who is standing far away and using a special tool to tell the robot what to do.

So instead of someone needing to climb up high or go behind a wall to change the batteries, the robot does it for them. This way, no one gets hurt and the machine can keep working properly.
