Renaissance

The Renaissance was a time in history when people began to explore more ideas and to be creative. It started in Italy, around the 1300s. It was a big change from the Middle Ages, when the church and other authorities had a lot of control over people's lives. During the Renaissance, people began to look to the world around them for inspiration and to think about things in new ways. They studied ancient Greek and Roman works to help them learn new ideas about art, science, philosophy, math and other subjects. Artists, writers and scientists from this time created works that changed the world, and allowed people to explore different ideas.
