Reprisal

Reprisal is when someone does something bad to you in retaliation for something that you have done bad to them. It's like carrying out a payback. An example of reprisal would be if you and your friend got in a fight, and then later your friend punched you in the nose in order to get back at you. Reprisal is like an eye for an eye - whatever bad thing that was done to you, you do the same thing to the other person in order to make it even.
