Reproductive synchrony

Reproductive synchrony is when animals that live in a group all have their babies at the same time. It is like when lots of people living in a neighborhood all have kids at the same time. All of the animals in the group try to have their babies at the same time so that the babies (called “young”) are all born at the same time. Then it’s easier for the adults to take care of them. They can help each other take care of the young, so they all stay safe and grow up healthy.
