ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Revenue assurance

Revenue assurance is like making sure you get all the stickers you were promised at school. When you get stickers, you are happy because you earned them, and you want to make sure you get them all.

Companies also earn money from selling things and offering services, just like you earn stickers for doing a good job. But sometimes, they can make mistakes when keeping track of how much money they are supposed to get.

Revenue assurance people are like the teachers who make sure you get all your stickers. They check to make sure the company gets all the money they earned and that no mistakes were made. Just like how you would tell your teacher if you think she missed one of your stickers, revenue assurance people tell the company when something is missing or wrong with their money.

This helps the company make sure they are not losing money they should earn, and they can use that money to improve the things they sell or offer services for.
