ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Revival of the Hebrew language

Okay kiddo, so a long, long time ago, the Hebrew language was spoken by a lot of people in a place called Israel. But then, over time, people started speaking different languages and fewer and fewer people were speaking Hebrew.

But some people really loved Hebrew and wanted it to be spoken again. So, they worked really hard to revive or bring back the Hebrew language. They did this by creating schools where people could learn Hebrew, making books and newspapers in Hebrew, and even creating a new way to write Hebrew that was easier to read.

Slowly but surely, more and more people started speaking Hebrew again. And now, Hebrew is the official language of Israel and is spoken by millions of people all over the world. Isn't that cool?
