Rice noodles

Rice noodles are long and skinny noodles made out of rice flour. Think of rice flour like flour that you use to make bread or cookies.

To make rice noodles, first they mix rice flour with water and sometimes other ingredients like tapioca starch or corn starch. Then, they roll out the dough into flat sheets and cut them into thin noodles.

Rice noodles are often used in Asian dishes like pho or pad thai. When you cook them, they usually do not take very long - maybe just a few minutes in boiling water. They are soft and chewy, kind of like rubber bands.

You can add all sorts of yummy things to rice noodles, like vegetables, sauces, and meats. They are a great option for people who cannot eat traditional wheat noodles.
