ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Right to be heard

The right to be heard means that you have the ability to speak up and share your thoughts and ideas about something that is important to you. It's like when you want to tell your parents or your teacher something that is bothering you or when you want to suggest an idea for a fun activity or game to play with your friends.

This right is important because it allows you to express yourself and have a voice. It means that people should be able to listen to you and take your thoughts and opinions into consideration. This is important in making decisions, especially when it comes to things that affect you directly.

Sometimes, people might not want to hear what you have to say, or they might not listen to you because they think you are too young or don't know enough. But this is not fair, and it is important that everyone has the right to be heard, no matter their age or background.

So, don't be afraid to speak up and share your ideas and thoughts. Remember that you have the right to be heard!
