Rillettes

Rillettes are a kind of food that is made from pork, usually. It's a spread that you can put on bread or crackers or anything you like.

What happens is that the pork is cooked slowly in its own fat until it becomes really, really tender. Then, it's mashed up until it's very smooth with bits of meat in it.

Finally, it's put into a jar and you can keep it in your fridge to eat later. Rillettes are often served with bread and pickles, and they taste really yummy!
