ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ringette

Ringette is a sport that is like hockey but with some differences. Instead of a puck, players use a ring and try to shoot it into the opposing team's net. Each team is made up of five players plus a goalie. They wear special gear like helmets, gloves, and skates so they don't get hurt.

The game is played on an ice rink, like hockey, with two– 20 minute periods. Ice rinks are cold places with a big sheet of ice where the players can skate on. Each team tries to get the ring to their own goal so they can score points.

One really cool thing about ringette is that players aren't allowed to check each other! That means they aren't allowed to bump into each other like they do in hockey. The only way players can take the ring from their opponent is by trying to capture it with their own sticks.

Ringette is a fun and exciting sport that is played all around the world. It requires teamwork, speed, and skill. It's a great way to have fun while staying active.
