ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rise up, Ukraine!

Alright kiddo, so remember how you have rules in your classroom and you have to follow them? Well, countries also have rules they have to follow and people who make sure everything is okay.

Ukraine is a country in Europe, and a few years ago, some people who were in charge didn't follow the rules or were doing things that weren't fair. So, a lot of people in Ukraine got upset and started protesting, wanting things to be better for everyone.

They started saying "rise up, Ukraine!" to show that they wanted to show their strength and make a difference. They wanted to make sure that the people in charge listened to them and made things right for everyone.

It was a big deal because a lot of people came together to make their voices heard, and even though it was hard at times, they kept going and didn't give up. Eventually, they were able to make changes so that things were more fair and just for everyone. And that's the story of Rise up, Ukraine!
