Road construction

Road construction is when people build or repair roads. Workers use lots of different machines, like bulldozers, jackhammers, and asphalt rollers, to repair old roads or build new roads. Bulldozers are big machines with a scoop at the front that can be used to dig up dirt and move it around to make a road better. Jackhammers are big tools that break up old asphalt and can be used to create new shapes for a road. Asphalt rollers are big machines that lay down hot asphalt over the dirt to make roads smoother and stronger. After the machines have done their work, the roads are even and ready for cars to drive over them.
