ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Road policing unit

Do you know when you are walking with your family on the road and you sometimes see a police car with flashing lights and loud sirens? There are special police officers who work in those cars and they are called the road policing unit.

Their job is to make sure that everyone who is driving on the road is doing it safely and following the rules. They look out for people who are driving too fast, texting while driving or not wearing seat belts. They also help if someone has been in an accident on the road and need help.

The road policing unit use special equipment in their cars to help them with their job. They have devices that can help them know if someone is driving too fast or if they have been drinking alcohol before driving. They also carry special equipment to help them help people who are injured in accidents.

So, the road policing unit is like your big brother or sister who always looks out for you and makes sure you are safe when you walk on the road. Just like how they help you, the road policing unit helps everyone on the road so that we can all be safe.
