Robben Island

Robben Island is a special island in South Africa where some people used to be sent if they broke the law. It is very famous because a very important man named Nelson Mandela was kept there for many years.

Think of it like a big timeout spot, but instead of being sent to a corner, people were sent to this island. The people who were sent there were not able to leave the island and go back home until they had learned their lesson and become better people.
