Robert the Devil
Ok kiddo, let me tell you a story about a guy named Robert the Devil. But don't worry, he's not actually a devil!
Robert was a guy who lived a long, long time ago in a place called Normandy, which is in France. People say he was really handsome, but also really bad. In fact, he was so bad that people thought he must be the son of the devil himself!
One day, Robert decided he wanted to go on a big adventure. He wanted to go find a magical sword that belonged to his father, who was also a bad guy. So he went out into the forest to look for it.
As he was walking around, Robert met this really beautiful lady named Bertha. She was so beautiful that he fell in love with her instantly. But here's the catch: Bertha was actually a princess, and her father said she could only marry a knight who was brave and good.
Robert knew he wasn't brave or good, but he wanted to marry Bertha anyways. So he went to the king and promised to go on a dangerous mission to find a magical treasure. The king said OK, because he figured that Robert would die trying and then he wouldn't have to worry about him marrying Bertha.
But Robert surprised everyone and actually found the treasure! He brought it back to the king and told him he wanted to marry Bertha. The king was still hesitant, but Bertha convinced him to let them get married.
After they got married, Robert decided he wanted to be good instead of bad. He became a really good knight and went on lots of adventures helping people. And people started to forget that they ever thought he was the son of the devil!
