Rock Carvings in Tanum

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a drawing or a picture on a piece of paper? Well, people in the old times didn't have paper like we do now, so they used rocks to make pictures.

In a place called Tanum, which is in Sweden, people a long, long time ago made pictures on rocks. They used tools to carve the rocks and make different shapes and designs. The pictures they made are called rock carvings.

Some of the pictures are of people hunting animals and fishing, and some are of boats and even the sun! They made these carvings because they wanted to remember important things that happened in their lives and to show what was important to them.

These carvings are really special because they are still there today, even though they were made a really long time ago. People can go visit Tanum and see these amazing rock carvings for themselves.
