Rockfall protection embankment

A rockfall protection embankment is like a really big cushion that is put in front of a mountain or hill to protect people or things from falling rocks. Rocks can sometimes come loose from the mountain and roll down and hurt or damage things below. The rockfall protection embankment is made up of a lot of big rocks packed together tightly, with a layer of soil or dirt on top. This makes it strong and able to absorb the impact of falling rocks, like a soft pillow catching you when you fall. It's like a big wall that can stop the rocks from hitting anything valuable. So, the embankment is built to make sure we are safe from rocks that might fall from the mountain.
