ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rodeo

Rodeo is like a big game with horses and cows. The cowboys and cowgirls try to do different things with the animals, like riding on their backs or catching them with a rope.

To start the game, the cowboys and cowgirls get on their horses and go into a big dirt arena. There are people watching, but everyone is safe behind a fence.

The cowboys and cowgirls then try to ride on a big, strong animal called a bull. The bull tries to buck them off and make them fall. The cowboys and cowgirls try to hold on as long as they can without falling off.

They also try to catch a cow with a rope around its neck or waist. They jump down from their horse and try to grab the cow, then they use their strength to stop the cow from moving.

At the end of the game, the person who stayed on the bull for the longest time or caught the cow the fastest is the winner.

Rodeo is like a big competition and it’s lots of fun to watch, but it’s also very important to make sure the animals are treated safely and kindly.
