Roe

Roe is a fancy word for fish eggs! You know how chickens lay eggs that we can eat? Well, fish also lay eggs and some people like to eat those too!

When a female fish is ready to lay her eggs, she lays them in a special place called a "nest" or a "bed". Sometimes, people catch these fish and take the eggs out of the fish to eat them.

Roe can be eaten many different ways - some people like to eat them raw, some people like to cook them, and some people even like to put them on top of sushi!

Overall, roe might sound kind of weird because it's fish eggs, but it's actually pretty tasty and lots of people enjoy eating it!
