Roman Meal

Roman meal is a type of meal that was eaten by people who lived in ancient Rome a really long time ago. Roman meal had different foods that were made from different ingredients.

One of the most important foods in Roman meal was bread. Romans ate a lot of bread, and it was usually made from wheat flour, which is a type of powder that is made from grinding up wheat grains. The bread was also sometimes flavored with things like rosemary or cheese to make it taste even better.

Another important part of Roman meal was soup. Their soup was called 'pottage' and it usually had a mix of vegetables, beans, meat or fish. Pottage was also cooked in a big pot and was served hot.

Romans also liked to eat meat, such as lamb, beef, and pork. They cooked these meats in different ways depending on what they wanted it to taste like. Sometimes, they would cook it on a fire or a grill so that it would be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

To wash down all of this food, Romans drank different types of drinks. Some of them drank wine, which is made from grapes, while others drank water mixed with honey or fruit juice.

Overall, Roman meal was a balanced meal that had different foods from each food group like carbohydrates, protein, and fiber which were necessary for staying strong and healthy.
