Roman administration of Judaea (AD 6–135)

So, a really long time ago (more than 2,000 years!), there was a place called Judaea. It was a part of a big empire called Rome. The people who lived in Judaea were called Jews, and they had their own religion and way of life.

The Romans wanted to make sure that everything in Judaea was running smoothly and that the people were doing what they were supposed to do. So, they created something called the Roman Administration of Judaea. This was like a special group of people who were in charge of Judaea and made sure everything was under control.

The Roman Administration had a leader called a governor. He was like the boss of Judaea. He made all the important decisions and made sure everyone was following the rules. He had a lot of helpers, like soldiers and tax collectors, who worked for him.

The governor made sure everyone paid their taxes and obeyed the laws. If someone did something wrong, they would be punished. The Roman soldiers helped the governor keep the peace and make sure there was no trouble.

The Jews didn't always like having the Romans in charge of their land, and sometimes they would rebel or protest against the Roman Administration. But the Romans were very strict and made sure they stayed in control of Judaea for a long time - over 100 years!
