Rongorongo

Rongorongo is a writing system used by the people of Easter Island hundreds of years ago. It is made up of symbols called glyphs or pictographs, which were carved onto wooden tablets. People believed that these symbols contained secret messages from their ancestors, and tried to figure out what the symbols meant. Today, experts have tried to decipher the rongorongo writing system, but so far it remains a mystery!
