Rose Macaulay
Rose Macaulay was a lady who lived a long time ago and she was really good at writing books. In fact, she wrote so many books that people still read them today, even though she wrote them many, many years ago.
She was born in England in 1881 and grew up in a big family. Rose loved to read books and wanted to be a writer when she grew up. When she was older, she went to college and studied something called "history" which means she learned about things that happened a long time ago.
After college, Rose started writing books and became very famous for writing stories about interesting people and places. She also wrote about important topics, like how people treat each other and how we should be good to one another.
Rose's books were so good that she won many awards and people from all over the world read them. Even though she's not alive anymore, we can still learn from her books and remember how amazing she was at telling stories.
