Rostam and Sohrab (opera)

There's a play called Rostam and Sohrab that people made into an opera. It's like a really big and fancy song.

It's a sad story where Rostam is a really strong and brave warrior who loves his country and is known for being really good at fighting. Sohrab is his son, but Rostam doesn't know that because he was born a long time ago and they didn't have Facebook to stay in touch.

Sohrab grows up to be a very good fighter too, and he wants to meet his dad, but Rostam doesn't know he even has a son. They end up meeting each other on the battlefield by accident, and they fight.

Sohrab doesn't want to fight his dad but he doesn't know it's his dad, and Rostam is trying to protect his country, so they keep fighting. In the end, Rostam accidentally kills Sohrab, and he realizes too late that it was his own son he just killed.

It's a really sad story, but the opera is supposed to be really beautiful because the singing is so pretty and the music makes you feel like you're in a different time and place.
