ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rota system

A rota system is when a group of people take turns doing a certain task or job. Think of it like taking turns playing with a toy. Let's say you and your friends want to play with the same toy, but you all want a chance to play with it without fighting over it. So you decide to take turns, maybe you get to play with it for 5 minutes, then your friend gets a turn for 5 minutes, and so on. That's like a rota system!

Sometimes, grown-up workplaces use rota systems too. For example, if a group of people work in a hospital, they might take turns working different shifts. One person might work in the morning, another person might work in the afternoon, and another person might work at night. That way everyone gets a chance to work different times and do different jobs.

Overall, a rota system is a way of making sure that everyone gets a fair turn at doing something. It helps prevent arguments and makes sure everyone has a chance to do the thing they want or need to do.
