Rotary vane pump

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a windmill? It has big blades that spin around and around. A rotary vane pump is kind of like a tiny windmill that helps move liquid or gas from one place to another.

Inside the pump, there's a small chamber where the liquid or gas enters. Then, there's a little rotor that spins around and around inside the chamber. This rotor has little blades sticking out from it, kind of like the blades on a windmill.

As the rotor spins, these little blades push the liquid or gas around in the chamber. This helps move the liquid or gas from one side of the pump to the other.
