Russia–NATO relations

Russia and NATO are two groups of countries in Europe. NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and is made up of 29 countries in Europe and North America. Russia is a country that is located in Europe and Asia.

Russia and NATO do not always get along. During the Cold War, the two sides were enemies. After the Cold War ended in 1991, the two sides tried to work together. But over the last few years, Russia and NATO have disagreed on many things and they have grown apart.

Russia and NATO have not been able to work together on important issues. NATO considers Russia is a threat because of its recent military activity in Europe. Russia opposes NATO's plan to add more countries to the alliance. They have also disagreed over the situation in Syria and Ukraine.

This has caused tensions between the two sides and makes it difficult for them to work together. NATO members are also concerned about Russia's military build-up, which they believe could be used to threaten them.

The hope is that these tensions can be eased and that both sides can start working together again. There have been talks between the two sides but so far, there has been no resolution.
