Russian ballet

Russian ballet is a special kind of dancing that comes from Russia. It is different from other kinds of dancing because it tells a story with the dancers' movements, like a play without words.

The dancers wear special clothes called costumes, which are often very pretty and sparkly. They also wear shoes with hard tips made of wood on the bottom, called pointe shoes, that allow them to dance on the tips of their toes.

The music that the dancers move to is also very special. It is often classical music, which means it was written a long time ago by famous composers like Tchaikovsky or Stravinsky.

In Russia, ballet is very important and has a long history. Many famous ballet dancers and choreographers, who create the dances, come from Russia. Ballet is taught in special schools and takes many years of practice to get very good at it.

When you watch Russian ballet, you might see people spinning around, jumping really high, and moving very gracefully. It is a beautiful art form that has been enjoyed for many years by people all over the world.
