Russian emigration following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine

Okay kiddo, so let me tell you a story about what happened when Ukraine and Russia had a fight in 2022. It was like two kids fighting over a toy, but in this case, they were fighting over a country.

So, Russia decided to invade Ukraine and it caused a lot of people to get scared and worried about what might happen. Some people who lived in Ukraine decided to leave their homes and go to other countries for safety, this is called emigration.

Among those people were also Russians who were living in Ukraine, and they were afraid of being caught in the middle of the conflict. Some Russians were afraid they would be blamed for the invasion, so they left Ukraine too.

These people had to pack their bags, leave their homes and their friends, and start a new life in a different country. It was like starting over.

Some of them went to nearby countries like Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus, while others went to countries farther away like Canada, the United States, and Australia. They wanted to be safe and live in peaceful countries where they didn't have to worry about war and violence.

In the end, a lot of people had to leave their homes due to the conflict, and many of them didn't know when they would be able to go back. It was a sad and difficult time for everyone involved.
