Russian occupation of Kherson Oblast

Okay kiddo, so imagine Kherson Oblast is like a big piece of cake, it belongs to Ukraine. But Russia wanted that piece of cake too, so they sent some soldiers there without asking Ukraine for permission. That's called occupation.

Now, when you have a piece of cake, it's yours and you can decide what to do with it. But when someone else takes a piece of your cake, they can make their own rules and tell you what to do. Russia did that in Kherson Oblast - they tried to control the people living there and made them follow Russian rules instead of Ukrainian rules.

But Ukraine didn't like that and they told Russia to leave their piece of cake alone. Ukraine and Russia have been arguing about this for a while now, but Ukraine wants its piece of cake back to be able to make its own rules again.
