Séance

A séance is kind of like a special meeting where people try to talk to ghosts or spirits. It's like talking on the phone, but instead of talking to a person who is alive, they are trying to talk to a person who is no longer alive.

During a séance, people sit in a circle and hold hands. They light candles and sometimes say special words or sing special songs to make the ghosts feel comfortable. Then, they ask questions and wait for the ghosts to answer by making noises or moving objects. Sometimes the ghosts don't answer at all, and sometimes they answer in weird ways like knocking on tables or turning lights on and off.

People who believe in séances think that ghosts are real and they want to communicate with the living. But some people don't believe in ghosts or séances and think that it's just a game or a way to make money. Either way, séances can be kind of spooky and mysterious, which makes them interesting to some people.
