ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

SEMI

A semi is a big truck that can carry lots of stuff, like food or furniture or other things that people need. It has a big trailer that attaches to a special piece of equipment called a tractor. The tractor pulls the trailer along the road and the trailer is designed to be stacked high with boxes and other packages. The two parts of the semi, the tractor and trailer, are connected with a special hitch that allows them to turn independently, making it easier to drive around corners and navigate through traffic.

Semi trucks are very important for moving goods from one place to another all across the country. They are used by companies to deliver products to stores, and sometimes even directly to people's homes. Without semi trucks, it would be much harder for us to get things we need, like the food we eat or the things we buy.
