Hello there! Do you know when you look at something and your eyes move really quickly? That's called a saccade! But did you know that when your eyes move, the image on your eyes moves too? It's kind of like when you move a book really quickly back and forth. The words all blur together and it's hard to read them.
But your brain is really smart! It knows that your eyes move a lot, so it makes sure that you don't see the blur when your eyes are moving. That's called saccadic suppression of image displacement.
So, even though your eyes are moving and the image is shifting around, your brain is able to keep you from seeing that movement. That way, you're able to see things clearly even when you're looking around really quickly. Pretty cool, huh?
