Saint Helena

Saint Helena is a very small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It's so small that you can walk around it in just one day! It's named after a famous woman named Helena, who was the mother of a Roman emperor named Constantine.

Helena was a very important person in Christianity because she helped to make it one of the main religions in the Roman Empire. She was said to have found the cross that Jesus was crucified on, and she built a big church in Jerusalem to honor him.

Even though Saint Helena is a tiny island, it has a very interesting history. It was first discovered by a Portuguese explorer named Joao da Nova in 1502. Later, it became a place where sailors could stop and get fresh water and supplies on their long journeys around the world.

Today, Saint Helena is a British Overseas Territory, which means that it's kind of like a little piece of Britain in the middle of the ocean. People who live on Saint Helena speak English and follow British customs. Even though it's very far away from most places, Saint Helena is still an important part of the world.
