Salambaw

Salambaw is a type of traditional boat used in the Philippines. Think of it like a big toy boat that people use for transportation and fishing in the water.

It's made out of wood and has a flat bottom with a curved shape at the front and back. This helps it move through the water smoothly and quickly. There are usually two paddles on each side that help steer the boat and move it forward.

Salambaws are used by fishermen to catch fish or other sea creatures like crabs, lobsters, and squids. They can hold a lot of weight because they are big and strong.

People also use salambaws to travel from one place to another that's near the water. Imagine you and your friends wanting to go to a beautiful island that's too far to walk to. You could all jump on a salambaw and use the paddles to row yourselves to the island.

Salambaws have been used for hundreds of years by people who live near the ocean or rivers in the Philippines. They are an important part of the culture and history of the country.
