Salute state

When important people like the President or the Governor come to visit, there is a special way that people show respect called a salute. A salute state is when a whole state decides to show respect by doing a salute at the same time. People might stand up straight, put their hand on their heart, or wave a special flag. It's like a big group hug for the important person visiting!
