Same-sex marriage

Same-sex marriage is when two people of the same gender, like two women or two men, get married. It is the same as when a man and a woman get married, but just with two people of the same gender instead of different genders. Same-sex marriage is legal in many countries and in many places in the United States. This means that same-sex couples are allowed to get married just like any other couples.
