Samuel ibn Naghrillah
Samuel Ibn Naghrillah was a man who lived a long, long time ago during a time called the Middle Ages. He was a Jewish man who lived in a place called Spain. Samuel was very, very smart and he was really good at writing poetry and making music.
In fact, Samuel was so smart that he became very important to the king of Spain, whose name was King Badis. Samuel worked for the king and helped him with many important things. He was very good at his job and everyone liked him because he was very friendly and kind.
One of the things that made Samuel really special was that he was a very good writer. He wrote lots of really beautiful poems and songs that lots of people liked to read and listen to. People even started calling him the "Prince of Hebrew Poetry" because he was so good at it!
Samuel had a really good life for a while, but unfortunately, things got really tough for him later on. A new king took over and he didn't like Jewish people very much. So, he didn't want Samuel to work for him anymore.
This was really sad for Samuel, but he didn't give up. He kept writing and making music and people still really loved what he did. He inspired other Jewish people to keep being proud of their culture and helped them stay strong, even during really tough times.
So, even though Samuel had some hard times, he was still really important for a lot of people because of all the amazing things he did.
