Samul nori

Samul nori is a type of music that comes from Korea. "Samul" means "four things" in Korean, and "nori" means "playing". So samul nori is all about playing four different instruments.

The instruments used in samul nori are called the janggu, the buk, the jing, and the kkwaenggwari. The janggu is a big drum that you hit with sticks. The buk is another drum, but it's smaller and has a deep sound. The jing is like a gong, and the kkwaenggwari is a tiny little cymbal that makes a high-pitched sound.

When you play samul nori, you usually have four musicians each playing one of these instruments. They work together to make a really exciting and energetic sound. Sometimes there are also dancers who move their bodies to the beat of the music.

Samul nori is often played at festivals and other big events in Korea. It's been around for a long time, but it was really popularized in the 1970s by a group called SamulNori that made it more modern and accessible to a wider audience.

So basically, samul nori is like a really cool type of music that uses four instruments and makes everyone want to dance!
