Sanctuaire de Ribemont-sur-Ancre

Okay, so imagine you have a special room in your house that's really important to you. You keep all your favorite toys and special things in there, and maybe you like to go in there to think or play with your toys.

The Sanctuaire de Ribemont-sur-Ancre is kind of like that special room, but it's way way way older and bigger. It's a really old place in France that people think was built more than 5,000 years ago! That's a super long time ago, even before our grandparents were born!

It's called a "sanctuary" because people think it was a really important place for ancient people to go to pray and make offerings to their gods. It has big rocks that were put together in a special way, and some of them have drawings on them. These drawings are really cool because they tell us a little bit about what life was like a long long long time ago.

Some people even think that the big rocks were brought all the way from a different place just so they could be used to build this special place. That's like if you asked your mom and dad to buy a toy for you and they had to drive for hours and hours just to get it!

Even though the Sanctuaire de Ribemont-sur-Ancre is really really old, we can still learn a lot from it. It helps us understand more about the people who lived a really long time ago, and how they saw the world and their gods. And it's also really cool to think that this special place has been around for so long!
