Satisfaction theory of atonement is an idea that Jesus' death on the cross paid a "price" to God for all the wrong things that people do. This idea says that when Jesus died, God was satisfied because Jesus paid for the wrong things people have done. God was satisfied with Jesus' death and so He gave forgiveness to people for their wrong doings. So the theory of atonement is like Jesus paying a debt to God so that people can be forgiven.
