Saxony

OK kiddo, you know how we have different kinds of materials like cotton or wool that we use to make clothes and blankets? Well, in the olden days, people used to have sheep and they would get wool from the sheep to make warm clothes and blankets.

Now, there was a place in Germany called Saxony where they had really good sheep that had extra soft and fine wool that was perfect for making special things like fancy clothes and carpets. So, when people said "Saxony", they were talking about this special kind of wool from those special sheep.

And even today, some people still use the word "saxony" to talk about really soft and high-quality wool or carpets. So, there you have it - saxony is just a special kind of wool from special sheep in a place called Saxony.
