Scaled inverse chi-squared distribution

The scaled inverse chi-squared distribution is a type of two-dimensional probability distribution. It is used to describe certain types of data that have a large range of possible values and have some uncertainty associated with them. Basically, it tells us the likelihood of certain data values occurring. For example, if we are studying the rainfall for a particular city, this distribution may be used to see how likely it is to have certain levels of rainfall in a given year.
