Scaled inverse chi-squared distribution

The scaled inverse chi-squared distribution is a type of two-dimensional probability distribution. It is used to describe certain types of data that have a large range of possible values and have some uncertainty associated with them. Basically, it tells us the likelihood of certain data values occurring.
