Scallop

Scallops are like little sea creatures that live in the ocean. They look kind of like a fan or a shell that has a curved shape. They have two shells that protect their soft body inside. They use their muscles to open and close their shells. Scallops are really good at swimming because they have a special muscle that can move them through the water. We can eat scallops too! When we eat scallops, we usually eat the white part of their muscle called the adductor muscle. They can be cooked in different ways like grilled, fried, or baked. Some people really like the taste of scallops because they are sweet and mild.
