Schlieffen Plan

The Schlieffen Plan was a plan developed by German military officials at the start of World War I. The plan stated that Germany would attack France quickly and start the war. They wanted to do this so that they could defeat France before they had to fight against Russia, which they knew would take more time. To do this, they planned to attack France from the north and send a lot of soldiers there to try and invade quickly. Unfortunately, the plan did not work, and a long and bloody war broke out.
